My Story
A circuit board solderer by day, by night I am stirred and compelled by the visual arts. Born with Ushers II, I am legally blind and was deaf until receiving my first hearing aids at the age of 3. Inspired by the unique way I experience the world around us, I feel compelled to create and share my angle with others.
Painting is magnetic. Drawing inspiration from daily adventures and original photography, I sketch out ideas on canvas. I work from dark to light, striving for a flowing composition. Using vibrant colors and paying close attention to detail, I build texture. My artistic goal being to open up a dialogue.
I have been teaching students of varied ages and capabilities in multiple art disciplines. I teach Classical techniques combined with modern thinking and experimentation. When you book a class with me you can expect to learn drawing, design, painting, sculpture and Art History.
I am contributing member of the local art community, active on committees and enjoy volunteering with civic groups. Currently I help manage the exhibits at the Oxford Public Library.
